CountGrid · Privacy

Your stock list.Kept on your device.

This policy explains how CountGrid handles information when you import a stock list, carry out a stocktake, scan products, export a report or choose CountGrid Pro.

Last updated 5 October 2026Applies to CountGrid

Local by design

Stock lists, stocktakes and count history stay in the app on your device.

No account or analytics

CountGrid has no account system, analytics or cloud sync service.

You choose to export

Files are prepared locally and shared only when you choose where to send them.

01 · Introduction

Who we are and what this policy covers

FutureSpark Studio Ltd (“FutureSpark”, “we”, “us” or “our”) publishes CountGrid. This notice is specifically for CountGrid and its local stocktaking features. FutureSpark is responsible for information you send to us directly, such as a support email. The stock lists and count data you enter into CountGrid are stored locally on your device, as described below.

CountGrid helps you import and count stock. It does not require an account, and it does not provide a FutureSpark cloud database or cross-device sync. CountGrid does not use analytics or advertising.

02 · Information you use in the app

Information in CountGrid

CountGrid stores the information needed to organise your stock lists and stocktakes on your device. Depending on what you enter or import, this can include:

  • product names, barcodes or EANs, SKUs, expected and counted quantities;
  • unit costs, locations, categories and notes;
  • stocktake names, optional location and operator details, status and dates;
  • count history, including count changes and undo events;
  • CSV import filename, the column mapping you use and import review information;
  • app settings and the locally cached CountGrid Pro entitlement status.

Product names, notes, location labels and operator details are up to you. Avoid entering personal information that is not needed for your stocktake.

03 · Local-first storage

Where stock and count information is stored

CountGrid stores its stock lists, stocktakes, product details, counts and history in a local SQLite database on your device. CountGrid does not upload this app data to FutureSpark, and it does not sync it between your devices.

Because there is no CountGrid account or cloud copy, FutureSpark cannot retrieve or delete local stocktake records for you. Keep your device protected and consider exporting reports you need to retain.

Your mobile operating system may separately include app data in device backups according to your settings and its own backup practices. This is not a CountGrid account, sync or export service.

04 · Camera permission

Camera and barcode scanning

Used to scan barcodes. If you grant camera permission, CountGrid uses your camera to read product barcodes during a stocktake. Scanning is used to identify a product and record a count.

No camera media is collected by CountGrid. The app reads barcode data for scanning; it does not save or upload camera images or video.

You can decline camera permission or change it later in your device settings. You can search for products or enter counts manually instead.

05 · Files you choose

CSV imports, reports and sharing

CSV import. When you choose a CSV file, CountGrid reads it on your device so you can map fields and import stock rows. The original file is not uploaded to a FutureSpark server.

Exports. CountGrid can create CSV and PDF report files on your device. You decide whether to share or save an export and choose the other app or destination.

Other providers. If you send or save a file using another app or service, that provider receives the file and handles it under its own terms and privacy practices.

Exports may contain product identifiers, stock quantities, costs, variance figures, locations, categories and notes included in your stocktake. Check a file before sharing it.

06 · Optional Pro

CountGrid Pro purchases

CountGrid Pro is an optional one-time purchase handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. The relevant store handles checkout, provides the displayed price, and may provide purchase or entitlement information that CountGrid uses to enable or restore Pro. CountGrid caches Pro access status on your device. FutureSpark does not receive your full payment-card details through CountGrid.

CountGrid does not operate a purchase-validation server or account system. Store billing and transaction information is also subject to the privacy terms of the store through which you purchase.

07 · Messages to us

Information sent to FutureSpark

CountGrid does not send stocktake contents, imported files, barcode data, camera images or usage analytics to FutureSpark. If you contact us for support or a privacy request, we receive the email address, message and any details or attachments you choose to include. We use that information to respond, provide support, keep an appropriate record, and meet legal duties or handle a claim if needed.

Please do not email passwords, verification codes, payment-card details or stock files containing information that is not needed for your support request. We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the request, our business records or legal obligations, then delete it securely where practical.

08 · Your choices

Your choices and deleting data

You choose whether to grant camera permission and when to import, export or share a file. You can delete CountGrid and its local app data using your device’s normal app removal controls. Removing the app does not cancel or refund an App Store or Google Play purchase; manage purchases and refund requests through the relevant store.

Since CountGrid’s stocktake content remains on your device and is not sent to FutureSpark, manage or delete that content in the app or remove the app’s local data from the device. You can contact us about information we receive directly, such as support correspondence.

09 · Intended use

Children’s privacy

CountGrid is a stocktaking tool intended for business use. It does not ask users to create an account or provide an age, and it has no in-app messaging or social features. Information entered into stock lists and notes is stored locally on the device; users should avoid including personal details that are not needed for a stocktake.

10 · Your choices under data protection law

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal information FutureSpark holds, or to object to certain uses. CountGrid stocktake data is held locally and is not sent to FutureSpark, so use the app or your device’s controls to manage it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office .

11 · Policy updates

Changes to this policy

We may update this notice when CountGrid’s data practices change or when clarification is needed. The current version will be published at this CountGrid privacy policy URL.
