Your return records.Kept on your device.

RefundCase helps you keep track of returns, refund dates, reminders and evidence. This policy explains what the app stores locally and what happens when you choose to share a backup or make a store purchase.

On your device

Case details, timelines, photos and evidence stay in local app storage.

Optional notifications are scheduled by your device, not a FutureSpark server.

Backups are not encrypted by RefundCase; choose a private place to keep them.

01 · Introduction

Who we are and what this policy covers

FutureSpark Studio Ltd (“FutureSpark”, “we”, “us” or “our”) publishes RefundCase. This notice is specifically for RefundCase; it does not use or extend the MyBusinessDB policy. FutureSpark is responsible for the information it receives through support and website correspondence. The case records you enter into RefundCase are stored locally on your device, as described below.

RefundCase does not require you to create an account and does not connect to your email inbox or bank account. It contains no advertisements. Its purpose is to help you organise your own shopping returns and refunds; it does not contact retailers or make refund requests for you.

02 · Information you choose to add

Information in RefundCase

You may enter or attach information to a case, such as:

  • item or case names and retailer names;
  • purchase, return-deadline, returned, refund-due and refund-received dates;
  • purchase amounts, recovered amounts and the currency you choose;
  • an order reference and notes you write; and
  • an item photo, receipt, return proof, refund proof or other evidence image.

RefundCase accesses your photo library or camera only when you choose to add an image. Only attach information you need for the case; notes, order references and photos can contain personal or financial details. Avoid including passwords, full payment-card details or information about other people unless genuinely necessary.

03 · Local-first storage

Where case information is stored

Case records and their timelines are stored in the app’s local database. Photos and evidence files are kept in the app’s private storage on your device. RefundCase does not upload this case content to FutureSpark or a RefundCase cloud account.

The app does not read your email or bank activity. Keep your device protected with the security options you choose. If your device is lost, damaged or reset, local information may not be available unless you previously made and safely kept a backup. Your mobile operating system may also include app data in its device backup according to your settings and its own backup practices; this is separate from a RefundCase export.

04 · Reminders

On-device notifications

Scheduled locally. Return deadline and refund follow-up reminders are scheduled on your device from the dates and reminder choices in your cases.

Permission is optional. Your device will ask whether RefundCase may show notifications. If you decline or later turn permission off, reminders may not appear.

Reminder notifications can include the case item name and retailer. Depending on your device and lock-screen settings, another person near your device may see this text. You can manage notification permission and lock-screen previews in your device settings.

05 · Your files

Backup, export and restore

Export. If you choose to create a backup, it can include case details, notes, timelines, item photos and evidence. RefundCase prepares a file and opens your device’s share/save options.

Sharing is your choice. If you save or send that file using another app or service, that provider receives the file and handles it under its own terms and privacy practices.

Not encrypted by RefundCase. The exported backup is not encrypted by the app. Store it somewhere private and consider who could access the location you choose.

Restoring a backup replaces the cases currently stored in RefundCase on that device with the cases in the selected file. Make a separate backup first if you want to keep the current cases. A backup copy shared or saved outside the app is not removed when you edit or delete the in-app case.

06 · Optional Pro

App-store billing

The free tier supports up to three active cases. RefundCase Pro is an optional one-time lifetime purchase that unlocks unlimited active cases. The purchase is active and has been tested at £4.99 through Google Play; where an offer is available, the relevant store shows its price before you confirm. The store may provide the app with limited purchase or entitlement information so Pro access can be enabled or restored. FutureSpark does not receive your full payment-card details through RefundCase.

Store account, payment and transaction handling is governed by the relevant store’s own privacy terms. RefundCase stores the resulting Pro access state on your device so it can provide or restore the feature.

07 · Other services

Sharing and service providers

RefundCase’s case-management features are local to your device. Apple or Google may process information needed for store billing and purchase restoration. Your mobile operating system handles app permissions and on-device notifications. If you export a backup, the sharing or storage service you select handles that file. Those providers have their own privacy terms and controls.

RefundCase does not contain ads. We do not use the details in your cases for advertising or send them to retailers.

08 · Keeping control

Keeping or deleting information

Your case records stay in the app until you remove them using the app’s controls or remove the app’s local data from your device. Deleting a case also removes its associated in-app timeline and evidence. Any backup file you previously exported or shared is a separate copy; manage or delete it in the place where you saved or sent it. RefundCase does not receive your local case records and therefore cannot retrieve or delete them for you.

You can contact FutureSpark about information we do receive, such as a support email. We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to answer and document the request, meet legal duties or handle a claim.

09 · Your choices

Your privacy rights and choices

You can choose what to enter, whether to grant photo or notification permissions, whether to export a backup, and where you share it. Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal information FutureSpark holds, or to object to certain uses. Because RefundCase case content remains on your device, manage or delete it there. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office .
